• How is it possible that 100% of my donation goes to my child?

  Our American leadership team are all volunteers whose desire is to make sure that each child’s needs are being met. We’re a small team with almost no overhead, and any administrative costs we have are simply donated by our staff. We do pay our Uganda Director and Administrator, Mama Aida and Dorothy, a small salary through Ministry Partnership donations because their service to the ministry is on a full-time basis.

• How do I stay in touch with the child I sponsor? What is the best way to contact them?

  Handwritten or typed letters along with a photo of you or your family is a great way to connect with your child. We are able to deliver your letters and photos twice a year to your child, once in the spring and once in the fall, timing it with when we see Aida in person. You can send these letters and photos to our mailing address: 280 Dusk Pl Erie, Co 80516. If you want to send any additional letters, we’d love to help! We can ensure a digital copy of your letter get scanned and sent during any of the other months of the year. We’ll do whatever we can to facilitate a relationship between families and their sponsored child.

• Can I send a gift or care package?

  It is very expensive to send physical gifts and items to Uganda and things are often “lost” in the mail. If you’d like to give a gift there are other reasonable options. You’re welcome to send us with something small for your child on our annual visit to Uganda, and we will personally deliver it (dependent on space in our luggage!) Another option is giving a one-time, Ministry Partnership donation and let us know that you’d like for it to be used for your child and we can work with you to get them something local from Uganda. Extra clothes and shoes are always a great gift!
