My story
Vicky is the fifth of eight children and lives with her mother in Namatala. Her father left the family and remarried, leaving Vicky’s mother to provide for the children alone. To survive, her mom sorts coffee to earn what little income she can. She’s had to make heartbreaking decisions—leaving five of her children in Moroto, where life is slightly more stable. Vicky dreams of going to school and building a future full of opportunity.
