My story

Sumaya is the oldest of four children. She lives with her parents, Meddie Muyonjo and Rehema Nalumansi, her siblings, and her elderly grandmother in Bulindo. After a family land dispute, they lost their home and now shelter in an unfinished building offered by a local church — a roof, but little else. Food, medical care, and schooling remain out of reach. Sumaya is 10. Three of her siblings are also school age. None of them have started yet. She has grown up knowing that school was not something her family could give her. A sponsor changes what she gets to know next.
