My story
Stephen is the youngest of seven children and lives with his single mother in the Namatala slums. His father passed away when he was very young, leaving the family in an incredibly difficult situation. His mother has worked tirelessly to raise all seven children on her own, often going without herself to provide for them.
Stephen is a quiet leader—mature beyond his years, disciplined, and hopeful. He’s deeply grateful for the chance to be in school and is determined to use his education to change his future—and help his family along the way.
