My story

Peter grew up in Namatala with his grandma; his parents had divorced when he was young and his grandma was the only one who would be willing to care for him. Life was difficult for Peter though, as his grandmother had no means to provide school, clothing or even food regularly. Peter, like any of the other street children in Namatala, was forced to scavenge in the trash for any food to eat, or charcoal to cook with. Peter joined IChooseYou in 2010 and has excelled in school. Today he is on his way to earning a Building and Construction degree!
