My story
Paul is the youngest of three boys, living under the care of his grandfather after a heartbreaking family breakdown. Two years ago, his mother developed a sudden and severe mental illness that has left her completely unable to care for her children. Her condition grew worse despite efforts to seek medical help and prayers, and she now requires full-time supervision.
Paul’s father once traveled to Kenya for work, hoping to support the family, but returned empty-handed. Now he spends his days trying to care for his sick wife, leaving no one to look after the children. Paul and his brothers fell into extreme neglect—developing skin infections and other health issues from poor living conditions and lack of basic hygiene.
Today, Paul is being raised by his grandfather, a local pastor, who has taken in all three boys. Despite his young age and the hardship he’s known, Paul is full of energy and joy—bright, playful, and eager for a chance to thrive.
