My story
James is the middle brother—gentle, observant, and quietly hopeful for a better tomorrow.
Two years ago, his mother developed a sudden and severe mental illness that has left her completely unable to care for her children. Her condition grew worse despite efforts to seek medical help and prayers, and she now requires full-time supervision. James’s father once traveled to Kenya for work, hoping to support the family, but returned empty-handed. Now he spends his days trying to care for his sick wife, leaving no one to look after the children.
James and his brothers fell into extreme neglect—developing skin infections and other health issues from poor living conditions and lack of basic hygiene. The family couldn't even afford soap, let alone medical care or food.
Today, James is being raised by his grandfather, a local pastor, who has taken in all three boys. With loving care and a chance at school, James could grow into a joyful and resilient young man—ready to break the cycle for the next generation.
