My story

James became an IChooseYou child in 2010. He was living with his parents when his father chased his mother out of the house, and decided to marry another woman. He then denied his own children and decided not to provide for them anymore. James and his siblings went to live with his grandmother, the only one who would take them in, but couldn’t provide enough food or money for tuition. He has worked hard through primary and secondary school and is now studying for his degree in civil engineering.

What can I expect as a sponsor?

• A new photo of your child at least once a year
• Information on how to write a letter to your child
• At least 2 letters from your child every year
• Ministry updates on a regular basis
