My story

Deborah is the second of six children and lives with her single mother in the Namatala slums. Her father passed away when she was very young, leaving her mother to raise the children alone—struggling daily to provide food, cover rent, and meet medical needs.

Since joining IChooseYou, Deborah’s life—and her family's—has been transformed. She’s now thriving in school, studing in cosmetology school, and walking with confidence and joy. Her mother is proud, and Deborah is growing into a healthy, beautiful young woman with a bright future ahead as a cosmetologist.
